Directions

Car

Oxford's Life in the UK test venue is situated in Watlington House on Watlington Road, approximately 5.5km from the city centre. Motorists can use the M40 for eastbound journeys and the A40 for westbound travel. The A34 serves those travelling from the north and south.

Parking

Parking near the venue is challenging due to limited on-site spaces. The closest alternative is Templar’s Square Shopping Centre, around 1.75km away. Walking from there would take about 25 minutes along the B480 (Garsington Road and Watlington Road). If you prefer to shorten the walk, the 11 City (Watlington) bus from Templar's Square bus stop can drop you at LIDL, right next to Watlington House, shaving nearly 20 minutes off your journey.

Bus

Various bus routes service the area around Watlington House:

  • Stops within 4-minute walk: LIDL, Bullnose Morris, and Car Factory Gate.

For personalised route planning, consult the local bus network online.

Train

Oxford Train Station is not conveniently located for those heading to Watlington House, being a long 90-minute walk away. Instead, it's advised to use the local bus network.

  • 280 Sapphire (Aylesbury) bus: Catch this from outside the train station and alight at Speedwell Street. Walk down St. Aldates (A420) for 50m until you see the Police Station bus stop.

  • 11X City (Crowley) bus: Board this service to Car Factory Gate. From there, walk southeast on Watlington Road until you arrive at the venue. The total journey should take about 26 minutes.

Given the challenges of using the train for this journey, it's recommended to opt for bus travel directly to the test centre.

For more information on train times, facilities, and accessibility, visit the Great Western Railway website.

In summary, while reaching the Oxford venue presents some logistical challenges, careful planning will ensure a smooth journey. Good luck on your test!
