Cobourg House, the Life in the UK test venue in Plymouth, is located on Mayflower Street, just north of the city centre. Though the location is somewhat remote, the A38 facilitates access to Plymouth and passes over its northern outskirts.


Parking


Limited on-street parking is available on Mayflower Street, right opposite Cobourg House. Another option is Mayflower House Court, which is situated behind the test centre. The parking fee is £1.30 per hour, payable by card (including contactless) or via the RingGo service line. Please note there is a maximum parking duration of three hours, but even two hours should suffice for your test.

Bus


Plymouth's local bus network provides good service near Cobourg House to get you to your life in the UK test.

Train


Plymouth Train Station, approximately 650m north of Cobourg House, offers connectivity to various regions across the UK.


  • Walking Directions: Exit the station, turn left and head southbound on North Road East. At North Cross roundabout, turn left and proceed south on Cobourg Street. Then turn right onto Mayflower Street, and the venue will be on your southwest.

  • Bus Option: The number 101 (Plymouth City Centre) bus service departs from just outside the station and stops at Mayflower Street, which is about 50m west of Cobourg House. Opting for the bus will halve your travel time compared to walking.
